FULL STORY TB055 The Hotel for the Rich
CHAPTER 1: THE WEIGHT OF ARROGANCE
The burning midday sun punished the streets of San Pedro Garza García, but inside the Gran Diamante Hotel, the air conditioning maintained a cold, almost clinical atmosphere. Bohemian crystal chandeliers sparkled over imported Italian marble. Among the elite clientele—businessmen in tailored suits and women with designer bags—one man stood completely out of place.

He was a man in his sixties. He wore a worn plaid shirt, dust-stained jeans, and a wide-brimmed hat that partially hid his sun-weathered face. He leaned heavily on a wooden crutch, and beneath his trousers peeked the cold gleam of a titanium prosthesis. His mere presence seemed a visual offense to the impeccable aesthetics of the place.
Valeria, the head receptionist, glared at him. She wore the hotel chain's uniform as if it were haute couture armor. Her perfectly made-up face contorted into a grimace of absolute disgust. When the old man took a step toward the counter, she couldn't take it anymore. She stormed out of her station with quick steps and, without a word, violently shoved the man.
The impact was sharp. The old man fell to the floor with a dull thud, his crutch slipping across the gleaming marble. The man's lips remained tightly sealed, his gaze fixed, emitting an aura of unbreakable power that contrasted with his vulnerable posture.
A collective gasp rippled through the lobby.
"Oh!" exclaimed a high-society lady, bringing a hand to her pearl-adorned chest. "Good lord!" whispered a businessman, stopping in his tracks. "It can't be!" was heard in the murmurs of the dismayed crowd.
Valeria, her eyes bloodshot with rage and contempt dripping from her every word, spat at him with venomous speed: "Don't you even think about bringing your misery into this hotel, trash!"

The silence in the lobby grew thick. No one intervened. The guests covered their mouths, scandalized by the cruelty of the scene, murmuring among themselves: "What a cruel woman!" But Valeria wasn't finished. She pointed at the old man with a perfectly manicured finger.
"People like you contaminate places like this."
