Chapter 1: The Disruption

The morning session was proceeding precisely as Eleanor preferred: quietly, efficiently, and with total deference to her authority. She was presiding over a high-stakes corporate dispute, her sharp eyes scanning the documents before her, her posture rigidly upright. The lawyers in the room spoke in hushed, respectful tones, terrified of incurring her legendary wrath. The silence in the grand chamber was heavy, broken only by the scratching of pens and the faint echo of footsteps on the marble floor.
Then, the heavy oak doors at the back of the courtroom burst open with a violent crash.
The sound echoed like a gunshot, shattering the pristine atmosphere. Eleanor’s head snapped up, her dark eyes narrowing into slits of absolute fury. Before she could even reach for her gavel, the chaos spilled into the aisle. Two large, muscular court guards in dark blue police-style uniforms were aggressively dragging a small, struggling figure down the center aisle.
It was a boy, perhaps ten or twelve years old, and he was fighting them with the frantic, terrified energy of a trapped wild animal. He was a jarring sight in the opulent chamber—a stain on the polished marble. He wore a tattered, dirty brown button-up shirt that hung loosely on his frail frame. His messy blonde hair was matted with sweat and grime, and his face was covered in dark streaks of dirt and grease. He was crying hysterically, his small chest heaving with desperate, breathless sobs as the guards gripped his thin arms, practically lifting him off his feet.
"Get off me! Let me go!" the boy screamed, his voice cracking with panic.
The lawyers stepped back in disgust, shielding their expensive briefcases. Eleanor stood up slowly, her hands gripping the edges of the dark wood podium. The sheer audacity of this intrusion was unimaginable. Her courtroom was a sanctuary of elite order, not a dumping ground for the city's street urchins. Her perfectly sculpted face twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated rage. She didn't see a terrified child; she saw filth, disruption, and a gross violation of her domain.

She violently slammed her hand on the heavy dark wood podium, the sound cracking through the room like thunder. She extended a trembling finger, pointing furiously across the room at the guards and the struggling boy.
"Who let this child in here?" Eleanor bellowed, her voice dripping with venom and aristocratic outrage.
