His lawyers thought he was insane.
“You could lose everything,” one warned.
Lucien looked through the glass doors at the gray Manhattan sky.
“I already did.”
His cooperation did not erase his crimes.
But it protected employees, exposed violent partners, and dismantled the operations that had poisoned his family for generations.
Lucien agreed to testify.
He sold properties.
