Chapter 3 - The Bigamy Trap

The fallout was apocalyptic.

By the following morning, the front page of every major news outlet and tabloid featured the same explosive headline: STERLING CORP CEO COMMITS BIGAMY; SECRET WIFE FLEES WITH FORTUNE.

Because Damian had never legally divorced Anna, his highly publicized, eight-figure Malibu wedding to Savannah Sinclair was entirely invalid. It wasn't just a scandal; it was a federal crime.

Savannah, desperate to save her carefully curated Hollywood image, instantly turned on him. She released a tearful public statement claiming she had been "deceived and manipulated" by a monster, filing a massive civil suit against Damian for emotional distress and fraud.

Damian’s carefully constructed empire began to implode. The board of directors at Sterling Corp convened an emergency meeting. Without Anna's signature to release the frozen marital assets, the company couldn't make payroll.

"You promised me this was handled!" Damian screamed at his mother, pacing the boardroom as the stock price plummeted in real-time on the monitors. "You said she was docile! You said she would just take a settlement!"

"She was supposed to!" Irene shrieked, her aristocratic composure completely shattered. "But she stole the money! You have to find her, Damian! Track her phone, hire investigators, do whatever it takes!"

"She dropped her phone in a storm drain at JFK, Mother!" Damian roared. "She's gone! And she took my children with her!"
