Chapter 10 - The Stainless Steel Vows

Six months later, the toxic chaos of Sloane and Marcus was nothing but a footnote in the incredible history of my success.

Both were denied bail, ultimately convicted, and sentenced to decades in a federal penitentiary for racketeering, wire fraud, and domestic cyber-terrorism. Their shadow syndicate was completely liquidated. APT Vietnam skyrocketed to an unprecedented valuation, dominating the international market completely untouched by the failed smear campaign. Our Meta accounts were fully restored and permanently protected by Tới and Giang's brilliant digital architecture.

My empire had not just survived the hurricane; it had harnessed the wind.

But true power is not measured by the battles you win in a ballroom. It is measured by the absolute, unshakeable peace you cultivate when the doors are finally locked.

The crisp spring breeze swept across the sprawling, manicured lawns of our private estate. I stood on the pristine driveway, looking up at the architectural masterpiece Julian and I had built. The elegant, sweeping mái nhật roof provided a profound sense of grounding and tranquility, a physical manifestation of the unbreakable sanctuary we had fought so hard to protect.

I walked inside, stepping into the warm, glowing heart of the home.

Our twelve-square-meter kitchen was bathed in golden afternoon sunlight. The custom 304 stainless steel cabinets with their sleek, tempered glass doors gleamed flawlessly. It was industrial, beautiful, and completely indestructible. It would never warp, never rot, and never break under pressure.

Just like the family that gathered inside it.

"Mama!" My two-year-old daughter, Lily, squealed, her little feet pitter-pattering across the hardwood floor as she rushed to wrap her arms around my legs. She was vibrant, brilliant, and completely shielded from the darkness of the world I had left behind.

Julian walked in right behind her, holding a tray of freshly baked pastries and a bottle of expensive champagne. He set the tray on the stainless steel island and handed me a glass, his eyes radiating absolute love and profound respect.

"We built a fortress," Julian murmured, pouring the wine and looking around the flawless kitchen.

"We built a kingdom," I corrected softly, picking up Lily and resting her on my hip. "The steel and the concrete are just materials. The real foundation is the peace we refused to surrender."

Julian smiled, an overwhelming emotion welling in his gaze. He stepped back, and right there, in the center of our indestructible kitchen, he dropped to one knee.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleek velvet box. He opened it, revealing a stunning, flawless emerald-cut diamond that caught the sunlight perfectly.

"I don't just want to fight your battles with you," Julian said, his voice thick with emotion, his dark eyes locked entirely on mine. "I want to celebrate every victory, wake up next to you every morning, and build the rest of my life entirely around you. Will you marry me?"

Tears of pure, unadulterated joy spilled over my eyelashes. I looked at the incredible man kneeling before me, the beautiful home we had designed together, and the vast, unburdened horizon stretching out in front of us.

"Yes," I whispered, pulling him up by the lapels of his shirt. "Yes, Julian. A million times, yes."

He slipped the ring onto my finger and pulled me into a sweeping, passionate kiss. The world around us melted away, leaving only the profound, unbreakable security of the life we had built.

The villains had played their games. They had tried to break me, manipulate my loved ones, and destroy my empire with lies and digital smoke. But they had all made one fatal miscalculation. Every time they tried to crush me, they were simply compacting the earth beneath my feet, giving me a harder, stronger surface to build my kingdom upon. My life was finally, permanently at peace.
