The investigation unfolded over the following months.
Julian’s accounts were frozen.
The shell companies were traced.
The missing funds were recovered in part, though not all of them. Sienna agreed to cooperate after her attorney explained the evidence against her.
She admitted Julian had convinced her that he would leave me.
He told her he was trapped in an unhappy marriage.
He promised her a new life.
But he never told her the full extent of the financial scheme.
“I thought it was money from his business,” she said during her statement. “I didn’t know it was connected to Claire.”
I did not forgive her.
Not then.
Maybe not ever.
But I stopped letting hatred take up space inside me.
Eleanor testified voluntarily.
She admitted she had learned about the affair months earlier. At first, she kept quiet because Julian threatened to expose financial mistakes Charles had made years ago.
But when she realized he was trying to exploit my inheritance, she began gathering proof.
She had waited too long.
Yet her evidence was the reason Julian could not escape consequences.
Ethan filed for divorce from Sienna.
I filed for divorce from Julian.
The Hale family home was sold.
The polished dinners ended.
The holidays became quiet.
And the family everyone admired from the outside finally had to confront what had been hidden beneath the perfect photographs.
Julian lost the position he had worked so hard to protect.
He lost access to funds he believed he could control.
