Chapter 4 - The Empire Crumbles

The systematic, surgical dismantling of Vale Urban Holdings took exactly ninety-six hours.

Daniel Park had spent his entire life building a dense, inescapable web of legitimate infrastructure. He didn't send men with baseball bats; he sent federal auditors, he severed supply chains, and he weaponized capital.

Every single construction crew working on a Vale property walked off the job, citing sudden "union contract disputes" deeply tied to companies under Daniel’s umbrella. Investors, tipped off by quiet whispers from the Park family’s vast network, began panic-selling their shares in Vale’s publicly traded subsidiaries. Harrison’s stock plummeted by forty percent in three days.

Desperate, sweating, and facing total financial annihilation, Harrison tried to leverage his "old money" connections. He called senators, he called mayors, he called rival billionaires. But every single door was slammed in his face. No one was willing to risk the wrath of Daniel Park—a man who controlled the technology, the shipping ports, and the very concrete that built the city.

By Thursday afternoon, Harrison Vale was entirely broken. He had no cash flow, no credit, and the banks were officially moving to seize his assets.

With nowhere left to turn, Harrison bypassed his security and showed up unannounced at the towering glass headquarters of Blackstone Meridian. He bypassed the receptionist and took the private elevator to the forty-ninth floor, ready to beg on his knees for his life.

He burst into the executive boardroom, expecting to find Daniel.

Instead, he found Naomi.

She was sitting at the head of the massive obsidian conference table, perfectly dry, wearing a razor-sharp crimson suit, her hair styled immaculately.

"Hello, Harrison," Naomi smiled, her voice dripping with lethal corporate elegance. "Daniel is currently busy acquiring the deed to your flagship hotel. But I am available to handle your eviction."
