Chapter 5 - Untouchable

Harrison stared at her, his eyes hollow, his shoulders slumped in absolute defeat. "Naomi... please," he begged, his voice cracking as tears of humiliation welled in his eyes. "I’ll sign the progressive contract. I’ll sign whatever you want. Just tell Daniel to call off the banks. Tell him to turn the supply chains back on. You’re destroying thousands of jobs!"

"We aren't destroying any jobs, Harrison," Naomi corrected him, sliding a thick stack of legal documents across the table. "Blackstone Meridian has officially purchased all of your distressed debt. We now own Vale Urban Holdings. We will be retaining your entire workforce, but we will be replacing the executive leadership. Specifically, you."

Harrison’s knees buckled. He grabbed the back of a leather chair to keep from collapsing. "You... you stole my company."

"I didn't steal anything. I simply accelerated a decline you were already manifesting," Naomi said smoothly. "You thought your money made you a god. But you failed to realize that true power isn't about the money in your bank account; it’s about controlling the infrastructure that allows the money to move. You shoved me into a pool because you thought I was beneath you. Now, I am literally your landlord."

Naomi pressed a button on her desk intercom. "Security, Mr. Vale is trespassing. Please escort him out of my building, and ensure his keycard to his former apartment is deactivated."

Two massive, silent security guards stepped into the room, grabbing Harrison by the arms. The billionaire wept as he was dragged out of the boardroom, completely bankrupt, publicly humiliated, and facing years of federal probes into his fraudulent accounting.

The heavy glass doors clicked shut.

A hidden door at the back of the office opened, and Daniel stepped out. He walked over to Naomi, his eyes completely devoid of the coldness he showed the world, replaced entirely by profound adoration. He leaned down, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to the side of her neck.

"Was the eviction satisfying, Mrs. Park?" he murmured.

"Incredibly," Naomi smiled, turning her chair to wrap her arms around his waist, resting her head against his chest. "But I think we need to rethink our real estate portfolio. I suddenly find myself owning a rooftop infinity pool that I have a very strong distaste for."

Daniel chuckled, a deep, rich sound that belonged exclusively to her. "I'll have it filled with concrete by tomorrow morning. We can build a garden instead."

Naomi looked up at the man who had burned an entire billionaire's empire to the ground simply because someone had disrespected her. She pulled him down for a kiss, knowing that in a city built on ruthless ambition and old money, they were the only ones who were truly, absolutely untouchable.
