Chapter 4: The Black Folder

With a fluid, graceful motion, Clara tossed the heavy black folder directly onto the center of the glass coffee table. It landed right on top of the divorce papers, covering the word "Dissolution."
"What is this nonsense?" Victoria hissed, leaning forward. Despite her disdain, human curiosity—and a sudden, inexplicable spike of anxiety—compelled her. She aggressively snatched the folder from the table, flipping it open with a sharp flick of her wrist.
Clara took a step back, folding her arms across her chest. She watched the matriarch’s eyes scan the documents.
Inside the folder were undeniable, high-resolution X-ray scans, accompanied by a stack of paperwork bearing the letterhead of the most exclusive, discreet medical facility in Switzerland. Stapled to the front was a comprehensive clinical diagnosis chart, highlighted in glaring yellow ink.
Julian stepped forward, a prickle of unease creeping up his spine. "Clara, if this is some kind of fake settlement demand—"
"Read the highlighted section, Victoria," Clara interrupted, her voice ringing out with crystal clarity. She pointed a manicured finger at the folder in the older woman's trembling hands.
Victoria's eyes darted across the medical jargon. Her breath hitched. The color began to drain rapidly from her perfectly powdered face. The aristocratic arrogance melted away, replaced by a profound, chilling confusion.
Clara didn't wait for her to read it aloud. She turned to Julian and Chloe, her expression a masterpiece of cold, calculating victory.
"Your son," Clara said, her voice dripping with lethal precision, "has been completely sterile since his severe jet ski accident in Monaco three years ago."
The words hit the room like a physical shockwave.
Julian froze. His smug demeanor shattered instantly. His mouth opened, but no sound came out. The blood rushed from his head, leaving him dizzy. He remembered the accident. He remembered the surgeries. He remembered the private, devastating conversations with the Swiss doctors that he had sworn to keep secret, the secret he thought he had buried with millions of dollars in non-disclosure agreements.
"That's... that's a lie," Julian stammered, his voice weak, high-pitched with sudden panic.
"Is it?" Clara challenged, her eyes burning with triumph. "The records are certified, Julian. Zero sperm count. Irreversible trauma. You couldn't father a child if your life depended on it."

Clara then turned her piercing gaze to Chloe, who was suddenly trembling violently in her scandalous red dress. The mistress’s hands dropped away from her fake-pregnant belly as if it had caught fire.
"So," Clara said, a cruel, beautiful smile spreading across her lips. "I suggest you ask your lovely mistress whose baby she’s really carrying. Because it certainly isn't a Sterling."
