Chapter 4 - The Dismantling

While Sofia slept in the intensive care unit, heavily guarded by four of my most trusted men, I went to work.
I didn't use guns. I didn't use violence. I used the very system Bianca thought she had mastered.
I handed the thick envelope of forensic evidence to my syndicate’s primary attorneys, instructing them to deliver it directly to the federal prosecutor's office. But before the FBI could move on the clinic, I made a few phone calls of my own.
Within twenty-four hours, Dr. Aris—the corrupt fertility doctor who had fathered Bianca’s child and falsified my life—found his medical license permanently revoked, his clinic completely liquidated by a sudden, hostile corporate takeover, and his offshore bank accounts entirely drained by my hackers. He was left completely destitute, sitting in a dark, empty house waiting for the federal agents to kick his door in.
As for Bianca, she was released from the warehouse directly into the waiting arms of the FBI. Because she had utilized interstate banking wires to funnel the money she embezzled from the clinic to fund her lavish lifestyle, she was facing twenty years in a federal penitentiary for medical fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

She had wanted to live in the executive suite. She was going to spend the rest of her life in a federal cell.
I stripped them of everything they valued, erasing their existence from the city of Chicago with a cold, absolute precision that sent a terrifying message to anyone who ever thought about crossing my family.
