Chapter 1: The Wrath of a Son

...He grabbed his mother’s arm, his face contorted into a terrifying mask of unhinged fury. His eyes were wide with disbelief, and his teeth were gritted so tightly his jaw trembled. Letting out a visceral, deafening scream that echoed down the quiet suburban hallway, he violently shoved her away from his crying wife. Margaret, completely caught off guard by the sheer physical force of her usually gentle son, stumbled backward helplessly. Her expensive heels caught on the edge of the plush nursery rug, and Daniel didn't give her a single second to recover. He stepped forward and slammed her forcefully against the tall, solid oak bookshelf in the corner of the room.
The heavy impact shook the massive piece of furniture, sending a large, fluffy teddy bear and a cascade of hardcover children's books crashing down onto the hardwood floor around them. Margaret’s eyes widened in absolute, paralyzed terror. She had never, in his entire thirty years of life, seen her son look so completely volatile and lethal.

"You are going to pay for this!" he roared, his voice shaking with a dangerous anger that seemed to rattle the very foundation of the house. "Get the hell away from her!"
