Chapter 15 - The Titanium Vows

Six months later, the crisp spring breeze swept across the sprawling, manicured lawns of our secluded Massachusetts estate. The nightmare was truly, finally over.
The sun was shining brilliantly over the geometric lines of our Japanese-style roof. The air smelled of blooming jasmine and fresh earth. I stood in front of a breathtaking floral archway on the edge of the valley, wearing a flawless, custom-designed white silk wedding gown, my heart beating with profound, overwhelming joy.
Michael stood at the end of the aisle, looking at me as if I were the only light in the universe.
As I walked down the aisle, surrounded by the people who had protected, supported, and celebrated us, I felt an unbreakable sense of peace settle over my soul. When I reached the altar, Michael took both of my hands in his, his thumbs gently tracing my knuckles.
"You walked into my life and rewrote my entire destiny, Claire," Michael said, his voice thick with raw, beautiful emotion, carrying effortlessly over the quiet valley. "You are the fiercest, most brilliant woman I have ever known. I promise to stand by your side in the boardrooms and in the quiet moments of our kitchen. I promise to be the foundation you deserve, for the rest of my life."
Tears of absolute gratitude blurred my vision. "You didn't just help me build an empire, Michael," I whispered, my voice steady and vibrating with pure love. "You helped me build a home. You are my sanctuary, my partner, and my greatest victory. I am yours, completely and forever."
As the officiant pronounced us husband and wife, Michael pulled me into a sweeping, passionate kiss. The guests cheered, but the world around us melted away, leaving only the profound, unshakeable security of the life we had fought through hell to defend.
Later that evening, after the reception had wound down, Michael and I walked back into our beautiful, twelve-square-meter kitchen. The moonlight reflected brilliantly off the flawless stainless-steel cabinets. The space was alive with the overwhelming sound of absolute freedom.
Michael walked up behind me, wrapping his strong arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"We built a fortress," Michael murmured, his voice rumbling warmly against my skin.

"We built a kingdom," I corrected softly, turning in his arms to look up into his eyes. "The steel, the concrete, the wealth... they are just materials. The real foundation is the peace we absolutely refused to surrender."
As Michael pulled me in for one last kiss under the quiet shadows of our home, I knew with absolute certainty that the monsters were permanently locked away. The digital phantoms were erased, the betrayals were avenged, and our beautiful, victorious world was finally, eternally at peace.
