Chapter 7 - The Clickbait SyndicateThe sheer scale of the digital attack was utterly paralyzing.

The video circulating on the fake Facebook drama pages showed me sitting in a dimly lit restaurant, supposedly handing a thick envelope of cash to a known corrupt judge, laughing about draining Grant’s hidden assets. The caption utilized a massive curiosity gap designed for viral clickbait: Billionaire Ex-Wife Caught Bribing Federal Judge! The Secret Audio Tape She Tried To Bury...
"This is completely fabricated," I said, my voice shaking as I watched the video. "I have never been to that restaurant. I have never met that judge. How did he make this look so real?"
"It’s a deepfake," Michael explained, pulling up the backend analytics on his laptop. "But it’s not amateur work. Grant hired a shadow agency that utilizes highly advanced artificial intelligence software. They used text-to-video prompt engineering with Seedance 2.0 to generate this footage. It renders cinematic-quality videos that are virtually indistinguishable from reality."
"But how is he getting millions of views?" Sarah asked, her voice panicked. "These drama pages didn't exist three days ago."
"He bought an army," Michael said grimly. "Grant, or whoever he hired, went to the darkest online digital marketplaces and purchased thousands of Facebook clone and aged VIA accounts. These are illegal, automated bot profiles that look like real American users. He programmed the VIA clone accounts to aggressively share, like, and comment on the deepfake video, tricking the Facebook algorithm into thinking this is breaking national news."
Grant was using the exact same financial resources he had managed to hide from the divorce settlement to fund a massive, coordinated smear campaign. He couldn't beat me in family court, so he was trying to destroy my business, my reputation, and my sanity in the court of public opinion.
"If this hits the mainstream media, the federal prosecutors will have to open an investigation just to cover their bases," I realized, a cold dread pooling in my stomach. "My clients will flee. My firm will go bankrupt."
"We can issue a press release," Sarah suggested desperately. "We can tell the truth."
"The public doesn't care about the truth; they care about the drama," I said, a fierce, calculating fire suddenly igniting in my chest. I refused to be a victim again. I had survived his emotional abuse; I was not going to let him destroy my empire with artificial intelligence.

"Michael," I said, turning to him, my voice completely devoid of fear. "Grant thinks he can hide behind black-market VIA clone accounts and fake drama pages. He thinks he’s a digital ghost. How do we unmask him?"
Michael’s lips curved into a dangerous, predatory smile. "We don't fight the algorithm, Elena. We hijack the network. But to do that, I need to call in the heavy artillery."
