Chapter 2: The Sound of Authority

The silence didn't last. From the darkness of the grand spiral staircase, a rhythmic, steady click-clack began to echo.

The showroom manager descended. His expression was grave, his stride purposeful. He didn't look at the crowd of onlookers. He didn't even acknowledge the three women mocking the bride. He moved like a man on a mission, cutting through the heavy air with the precision of a blade.

He stopped directly in front of Isabella.

The entire showroom held its breath.

The manager bowed—not a polite nod, but a deep, profound bow of absolute respect. When he straightened, his voice rang out, clear and steady, vibrating through the massive space.

"Miss Isabella," he announced. "Your father has just signed the final purchase agreement. The entire building, the brand, and every asset within it… are now officially yours."

The room went deathly still. It was as if someone had flipped a switch, turning the air to liquid nitrogen.

Beatrice’s face lost all its color. Her arrogant, smug smile faltered, twitched, and then shattered into a mask of pure, mounting panic. Her hands, previously so steady as she held her champagne, began to shake violently.

"W-what did you say?" she stammered, her voice cracking, losing every ounce of its refined edge. "Buy it back? Buy what?!"

Isabella slowly lowered her hand from her cheek. The redness remained, but the softness in her eyes had evaporated. In its place was an ice-cold, absolute authority. She stood taller, her posture shifting from a victim to a queen reclaiming her throne. She adjusted the expensive gown she was wearing, the silk rippling under her graceful touch.

"Buy the entire store," Isabella said, her voice steady and terrifyingly clear. It was a command, not a request. "From this moment on, this building, every dress, every diamond in this showroom… belongs to me."
