Chapter 3: The PR Disaster

Back at the venue, absolute chaos had descended.

Vanessa stormed into the bridal suite, violently throwing her diamond tiara across the room. It shattered against the vanity mirror.

"Fix this!" Vanessa screamed at her wedding planner. "Call the media! Tell them Julian had a mental breakdown! Tell them that crazy old woman was a stalker who threatened me!"

"Vanessa, stop," a stern voice commanded.

Her father, Richard, an imposing billionaire real estate mogul, walked into the bridal suite. He didn't look comforting. He looked furious.

"Dad! You have to destroy Julian’s company," Vanessa demanded, tears of pure rage ruining her flawless makeup. "He humiliated our family in front of the governor and three hundred investors!"

"The only person who humiliated this family is you," Richard snapped coldly.

Vanessa froze. "What are you talking about?"

Richard pulled out his smartphone and turned the screen toward her.

"Someone recorded the confrontation on their phone," Richard said, his voice dripping with disgust. "It’s already leaked to a prominent socialite blog. The entire city just watched you scream at a sweet old woman holding roses, right before the groom revealed you were abusing his mother."

Vanessa’s face lost all its color.

"The investors aren't laughing at Julian," Richard continued, completely merciless. "They are praising him for his integrity. And they are looking at you like you are a toxic, entitled liability."

Richard turned toward the door.

"Cancel the catering. Send the guests home. And don't you dare speak to the press. You have done enough damage for one lifetime."
