The Groom Who Came for Me / Chapter 10 / 10

Chapter 10 - The Man Who Chose Her First

Two years after Ryan left Clare at the altar, Adrien asked her to marry him again.

They were already legally married.

But this time, he wanted to give her the wedding she deserved.

No scandal.

No replacement groom.

No emergency phone calls.

No waiting.

Just a choice made freely by two people who understood each other.

The ceremony took place at sunset in the same garden pavilion.

Only close friends and family attended.

Vanessa sat in the front row beside Thomas Bennett. Judge Helena, Clare’s godmother, cried openly. The orchestra played the song Clare had chosen on the night her life changed.

Adrien stood beneath an arch of white roses.

When Clare walked toward him, she did not feel nervous.

She felt certain.

The officiant smiled.

“Adrien Sterling, do you choose Clare Bennett—again?”

Adrien looked at her as though no one else existed.

“Every day,” he said. “In every room. In every life.”

Clare’s eyes filled with tears.

“And Clare Bennett, do you choose Adrien Sterling—again?”

She smiled through them.

“Yes,” she said. “This time, not because I needed saving. But because I found someone who never asked me to become less than I am.”

The guests stood and applauded.

Adrien kissed her beneath the white roses.

And somewhere far from the Bennett estate, Ryan Whitmore finally understood the truth.

He had not lost Clare because she married a billionaire.

He lost her because he made her feel like she was never enough.

Adrien did not win Clare because he was powerful.

He won her because when she called, he came.

And when he arrived, he never made her wait again.
