Chapter 14 - The Public Execution

The Sovereign Consortium was hosting its annual charity gala at a historic London estate that evening. It was an ultra-exclusive event, packed with the hidden trillionaires of the old world. Vivienne intended to use the night to quietly celebrate my impending bankruptcy.
I did not hide. I arrived looking like absolute, terrifying power.
I wore a sweeping, backless gown of liquid-emerald silk. Julian walked beside me in a razor-sharp tuxedo, radiating the lethal energy of an executioner. The ambient chatter in the grand ballroom died down instantly as the sea of old money parted for us.
Vivienne stood near the center stage, her smug smile faltering when she saw me.
"Eleanor," she stammered, her aristocratic composure cracking. "Security! Remove her!"
"I wouldn't do that," Julian rumbled, his towering frame dominating the space. "The perimeter is currently surrounded by Interpol."
I reached into my clutch, pulled out an encrypted tablet, and hijacked the ballroom's massive projection screens. The charity logos vanished, replaced by Vivienne’s illegal arms manifests and offshore routing numbers.

"You didn't just commit corporate sabotage, Vivienne," I announced to the horrified crowd, my voice echoing with a fierce, uncompromising fire. "You committed international treason."
The heavy oak doors burst open as federal agents swarmed the room. Vivienne didn't fight; she was completely paralyzed by the sheer, devastating speed of her own destruction.
