Chapter 7 - The Supply Chain SabotageYou do not fight a billionaire predator by playing defense. By the time you build a wall, they have already poisoned the supply lines behind it.

By noon, the executive floor of Vanguard Logistics had been transformed into a militarized cyber-intelligence bunker. I stood at the head of the glass conference table, projecting Vanguard’s global shipping routes onto the smart-board.
"Silas isn't just threatening us in the boardroom," I told my team of elite logisticians and corporate lawyers. "He’s actively trying to kill the company to force my surrender. Our Pacific fleet—the twenty cargo ships scheduled to dock in Seattle tomorrow morning—just went completely dark."
"They didn't go dark, Eleanor," my Chief Operating Officer said, sweating profusely. "They were impounded. The Seattle Port Authority received an anonymous federal tip that Vanguard ships are smuggling illegal, unregulated lithium batteries. The Coast Guard has quarantined the entire fleet."
"If those ships don't unload by Friday, we breach our contracts with the tech conglomerates," Julian growled, his jaw locking into a rigid line of pure granite. "The penalty clauses will bankrupt the firm. Silas orchestrated this. He planted the tip."
"He didn't just plant the tip," I deduced, my mind operating with surgical precision. "He planted the batteries. Silas wouldn't risk a federal raid if he wasn't absolutely certain they would find contraband. He bribed someone at our loading docks in Taipei to slip the illegal cargo onto our ships."
"We can file for an emergency federal injunction," my lead litigator offered, looking desperate.
"No," I commanded, my voice echoing with uncompromising authority. "A federal injunction takes weeks. The contracts expire in three days. Silas expects us to fight the Coast Guard with lawyers while we bleed out."
I turned to Julian. His brilliant, architectural mind was already steps ahead of me.
"Julian," I said softly, a dark, victorious thrill coursing through my veins. "Your design software. The one you use to digitally map the structural integrity of skyscrapers. Can we re-engineer it to map a supply chain?"
Julian’s eyes widened with predatory triumph. "A digital twin. Yes. If we plug the cargo manifests, the GPS tracking, and the biometric dock logs into my software, we can create a flawless, down-to-the-second 3D simulation of exactly how that contraband got onto your ships."
"And we can isolate the exact moment Silas’s operatives bypassed the security grid," I finished.
For the next forty-eight hours, the war room operated on pure, high-stakes adrenaline. Julian and my tech team worked relentlessly, running the digital twin simulation of the Taipei docks. We weren't sleeping. We were hunting.
By 3:00 A.M. on Thursday, Julian hit the jackpot.
"Got him," Julian breathed, zooming in on the holographic projection. "The dock master in Taipei manually overrode the manifest for Container 409 exactly twelve minutes after the official Vanguard inspectors signed off. The override code traces back to an IP address in Chicago."
"Blackwood Global’s headquarters," I whispered, the adrenaline flooding my system. We didn't just have proof that Vanguard was innocent; we had the digital fingerprints of Silas Blackwood committing international corporate sabotage.

"Do we take this to the Coast Guard?" Julian asked, his towering frame radiating lethal energy.
"Not yet," I smiled—a cold, terrifying expression. "Silas is hosting the Global Logistics Summit at the Drake Hotel tomorrow night to celebrate his 'acquisition' of Vanguard. I want to deliver the good news personally."
