Chapter 9 - The Executioner’s BroadcastThe massive screens behind Silas flashed again, displaying the unredacted offshore wire transfers from Blackwood Global to the corrupt dock master in Taiwan.

"You didn't just commit corporate sabotage, Silas," I announced to the thousands of industry leaders and journalists in the room. I swiped the tablet, bringing up Daniel’s digital signature on the forged shadow trust. "And Daniel, you didn't just hide assets in a divorce. You committed massive federal wire fraud, international smuggling, and conspiracy."

"You... you hacked my servers!" Silas shrieked, his aristocratic facade entirely destroyed as he backed away from me, his hands trembling violently. "Security! Arrest her!"

"I didn't hack them. I exposed them," I whispered coldly.

Daniel looked around wildly, absolute, unadulterated terror replacing his arrogance. The investors and executives surrounding them were physically stepping back to avoid the blast radius of their destruction.

"It’s a lie!" Daniel yelled, his voice cracking with desperation. "She fabricated the simulation!"

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation disagrees," Julian rumbled, pulling his phone from his pocket.

The heavy brass doors of the ballroom burst open. A dozen federal agents from the FBI's Corporate Crimes Division marched directly through the crowd of horrified elites, accompanied by officers from the Coast Guard.

"Silas Blackwood! Daniel Hartwell!" the lead agent barked, flashing his badge as he stormed the stage. "You are both under arrest for massive federal wire fraud, international smuggling, and corporate extortion."

Daniel didn't fight. He was completely paralyzed by the sheer, devastating speed of his own ruin. As the agents slapped heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists, he shot one last, terrified, pleading look at me. The arrogant, abusive husband who had tried to keep me in his shadow was gone, replaced by a broken, pathetic man facing decades in a concrete cell.

"You haven't won!" Silas wept as they dragged him out of the ballroom, his billionaire legacy literally burning to ash beneath his feet.

"I won the moment you thought I was a target," I replied softly, my voice carrying the absolute finality of a judge delivering a death sentence.

The silence in the grand ballroom was absolute. As the federal agents dragged the ruined ghosts of my past out into the crisp Chicago night, the power brokers of the world stared at me in profound, awe-struck terror.

I didn't gloat. I calmly picked up a fresh glass of champagne from a passing waiter's tray.

"My apologies for the interruption, ladies and gentlemen," I said, offering the stunned room a radiant, devastatingly beautiful smile. "Please. Enjoy the summit."

I took Julian’s arm, and we walked out into the cool, starlit night, leaving the burning wreckage of their empires entirely behind us.
