Chapter 19 - The Trojan ExecutionThe silence between us was heavier than a tombstone.

Silas stared at the glowing screen of my tablet. It wasn't a legal injunction or a police report. It was a live, decentralized blockchain ledger detailing every single transaction Silas had made over the last six years. It showed the blood money, the human trafficking bribes, and the illegal arms deals.

But more importantly, it showed the exact routing numbers for the Aegis Global shadow accounts that held his entire, multi-billion-dollar fortune.

“How did you get this?” Silas choked out, his voice barely a rasp. His bodyguards, sensing the catastrophic shift in power, tensed, their hands hovering over their concealed weapons.

“You hacked my yacht to send a video of my daughter,” Julian whispered, leaning forward, his green eyes blazing with unadulterated triumph. “You thought it was a display of power. But you forgot that every digital breach works both ways. When your system connected to my mainframe, Elias’s cyber-warfare division reverse-engineered the ping. You left a digital footprint, Silas. A very small one, but enough for my wife to follow it straight to your vault.”

“I am going to kill you,” Silas hissed, the mask of the refined billionaire completely gone. He looked feral. “Right here. In front of everyone.”

“No, you aren't,” I said, perfectly calm. I tapped the screen of the tablet a second time.

A progress bar appeared. TRANSFER INITIATING.

“What are you doing?!” Silas demanded, lunging forward.

Julian intercepted him with blinding, terrifying speed, grabbing Silas by the throat and slamming him backward against a marble pillar before his bodyguards could even draw their weapons. Elias and a dozen of our own undercover operatives instantly materialized from the crowd, drawing suppressed weapons and aiming them directly at Silas’s men.

The surrounding billionaires gasped, scrambling backward as the gala descended into a Mexican standoff.

“Don't move,” Julian snarled, his grip tightening on his brother’s windpipe.

“Look at the screen, Silas,” I commanded, stepping closer and holding the tablet up to his face as he choked against Julian’s grip.

The progress bar hit one hundred percent.

FUNDS LIQUIDATED. TRANSFER COMPLETE.

“I didn't call the police, Silas,” I explained, my voice echoing with the finality of a closing coffin. “I simply used your own backdoor codes to access your shadow accounts. I just liquidated your entire syndicate. Eight billion dollars in untraceable, illicit cartel funds. And I just donated every single dime to a blind, irrevocable global humanitarian trust managed by the United Nations.”

Silas’s eyes widened in absolute, suffocating terror.

“The money is gone,” I whispered, watching his soul leave his body. “It cannot be traced. It cannot be recovered. You are completely, utterly bankrupt.”

“The cartels...” Silas wheezed, tears of pure panic pooling in his eyes. “The arms dealers... that was their money! They will skin me alive!”

“Yes, they will,” I agreed, a cold, devastating smile curving my lips. “You threatened my daughter, Silas. You threatened my family. I told you I fight with live ammunition. You wanted my kingdom? Congratulations. You now rule an empire of ashes.”

I nodded to Julian.

Julian released his grip in disgust, letting his brother crumple to the marble floor of the museum, gasping for air and sobbing pathetically. Silas’s bodyguards, realizing that their employer was now broke and a dead man walking, slowly lowered their weapons, raised their hands, and backed away, abandoning him instantly.

“He’s all yours,” Julian said to the empty air.

The heavy oak doors of the museum burst open. A dozen heavily armed tactical agents from Interpol, coordinated by Elias hours earlier, flooded into the room. They marched straight toward the weeping, broken man on the floor, dragging him to his feet and slamming him in heavy steel handcuffs.

“Silas Thorne, you are under arrest for international terrorism, wire fraud, and crimes against humanity,” the lead agent barked.

As they dragged the screaming, desperate ghost of Julian’s past out of the gala, the room remained perfectly, terrifyingly silent. The elite power brokers of New York stared at me, their eyes filled with a mixture of profound shock, awe, and absolute, undeniable fear.

I calmly slipped the tablet back into my black velvet clutch. I picked up a fresh glass of champagne from a nearby table.

“My apologies for the interruption, ladies and gentlemen,” I said, raising my glass to the stunned crowd with a flawless, radiant smile. “Please. Enjoy the music.”
