Chapter 13 - The Trojan UpdateFor the next eighteen hours, my two offices were entirely locked down. I ordered catering, locked the doors, and turned the conference rooms into war bunkers.

Julian expected me to spend the night crying over my lost revenue. Instead, I was coding.

I drafted the Memorandum of Understanding exactly as he demanded. It was a flawless legal document outlining the transfer of my technical procedures and a full handover of my AdX monetization traffic. But the MoU was just the wrapping paper.

The real gift was the "technical compliance audit" file I attached to it.

I wrote a highly aggressive Python script, disguised as a standard system diagnostic tool. Using PyInstaller, I converted the script into a completely untraceable executable application. It was designed to look like a simple verification program that Julian’s team would need to run on their servers to inherit my page administrative rights.

In reality, it was a digital guillotine.

"Are we sure about this, Evelyn?" David asked, standing over my shoulder as I compiled the final code. "If they catch the payload in their sandbox..."

"They won't," I replied, my eyes locked on the terminal. "Julian is arrogant. He thinks I'm terrified. He’s going to fast-track the acquisition process to secure the US traffic before the end of the quarter. He’ll bypass protocol because his greed outweighs his caution."

I attached the executable to the encrypted email containing the MoU. I took a deep breath, thinking of the 180-square-meter sanctuary I had built, the thirty people who relied on me, and the peace I refused to surrender.

I hit Send.

Now, we just had to wait for the predator to open his mouth.
