Estate access logs established midnight entries.
Museum transport records established movement.
Warehouse loans established fraudulent collateral.
Recovered board drafts established Adrian’s plan to remove Rocco.
Celeste’s messages established her participation.

Rachel agreed.

Rocco nodded.

Rachel answered carefully.

Celeste closed her eyes.

He no longer needed to.

They wanted company disputes handled privately.

Financial damages negotiated.
Board matters contained.
In exchange, Adrian would resign permanently.
Years earlier, Rocco might have accepted.

He looked at Rachel.
“What happens if I say no?”
“Everything continues.”
“Publicly?”
“Eventually, much of it could.”
“Business damage?”
“Yes.”
“Museum damage?”
“Possibly.”
Rocco thought about Mia hiding her glasses beneath a pillow.

“No private deal.”
