Chapter 10 - The Sovereign Vows

The physical threat was neutralized, but Evelyn wanted absolute, permanent eradication. She stepped over the subdued mercenaries, her white silk blouse immaculate, and booted up her encrypted terminal.
She used the Coalition's own data to draft a flawless, draconian set of internal labor rules, registering them under the syndicate's hidden proxy offices with international labor authorities. The forged compliance protocols acted as a legal guillotine, triggering immediate, undeniable global audits. She broadcasted the Coalition’s unredacted client lists, complete with their personal GPS coordinates, to every intelligence agency on the planet.
By sunrise, the Obsidian Coalition was permanently, irrevocably erased from the face of the earth. Their executives were in federal custody, their clone networks seized, and their wealth decimated.
Six months later, the crisp spring breeze swept across the sprawling, manicured lawns of the Japanese-roofed estate. The toxic fallout of the syndicate was nothing but a footnote in the incredible, unstoppable history of the new empire Roman and Evelyn had built.
The estate was bathed in golden afternoon sunlight. There were no press, no rival bosses, and no chaos. Only a few fiercely loyal friends and the men who had bled to protect them.
Evelyn stood at the end of a breathtaking floral archway on the edge of the property. She wore the flawless, custom-made white silk gown she had tailored herself. The mountain sunlight caught the massive diamond on her finger, and her eyes shone with pure, unshadowed joy.
Roman stood at the altar, wearing the charcoal suit she had stitched with her own hands. He looked powerful, dangerous, and completely utterly devoted. When she reached him, he took both of her hands in his, his thumbs gently tracing her knuckles.
"You walked into my life and stitched my fractured world back together," Roman whispered, his voice thick with raw, beautiful emotion, carrying effortlessly over the quiet garden. "You tore down syndicates to protect our home. I promise to stand by your side, to protect your peace, and to worship you for the rest of my life."

Tears of absolute gratitude blurred Evelyn’s vision. "You didn't just buy my freedom, Roman," she said, her voice steady and vibrating with pure, unconditional love. "You gave me the power to claim it. You are my sanctuary, my partner, and my greatest victory. I am yours, completely and forever."
As the officiant pronounced them husband and wife, Roman pulled her into a sweeping, passionate kiss. The small crowd cheered, but the world around them melted away, leaving only the profound, unbreakable security of the life they had fought through hell to defend. The monsters were permanently locked away, the digital phantoms were erased, and their beautiful, victorious world was finally, eternally at peace.
