Chapter 17 - The Algorithmic SiegeYou do not fight a billionaire predator by playing defense. By the time you build a wall, they have already poisoned the ground beneath it.

By midnight, our Chicago penthouse had been transformed into a militarized cyber-intelligence bunker. Owen was safely asleep upstairs, completely shielded from the corporate warfare unfolding in the living room. Julian and I sat at the dining table alongside Elias, dissecting Silas Thorne’s global footprint.

"Silas isn't just stopping our textile shipments," Elias reported, his fingers flying across his keyboard, projecting data nodes onto the wall. "He is executing a coordinated digital strangulation. He found out about Lumina."

"How?" Julian demanded.

"Corporate espionage. He has moles in the European marketing divisions," I deduced, my mind operating with cold, surgical precision. "What is he doing to the channel?"

"He’s using a brute-force shadow attack," Elias explained, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Silas purchased massive bundles of high-tier, aged clone accounts online. Tens of thousands of them. He is weaponizing these purchased accounts to mass-report Lumina’s initial incubation videos, flagging them for community guideline violations."

"He’s trying to trigger an automatic shadowban on our new channel before it even gets off the ground," I said, processing the sheer, malicious genius of the strategy. "If the algorithm detects thousands of aged accounts reporting the content, it will permanently throttle our digital reach. Our virtual KOC will be dead on arrival."

"And without Lumina to drive the digital sales narrative, and without the physical textiles from Milan, our Paris Fashion Week debut is entirely gutted," Julian growled, radiating lethal executioner energy. "He’s trying to force a total corporate collapse."

"We can file for an emergency injunction in the international trade courts," our lead litigator suggested over the secure comms line.

"No," I commanded, my voice echoing with freezing, uncompromising authority. "A federal injunction takes weeks. Paris Fashion Week is in four days. Silas expects us to fight the European bureaucracy with lawyers while we bleed out."

I turned to Elias. "Silas is arrogant. He thinks he can hide behind a wall of purchased clone accounts. But to orchestrate a synchronized mass-reporting campaign of this scale, he has to be running those accounts through a centralized command server to bypass the platform's geolocation filters."

"Yes," Elias nodded. "He’s using a virtual private network hub, likely offshore."

"Find it," I whispered.

For the next ten hours, our war room operated on pure, high-stakes adrenaline. We didn't sleep. While Silas Thorne gloated in London, Elias and Julian relentlessly hunted his digital fingerprints.

At 4:00 A.M., Elias hit the jackpot.

"I found the command server," Elias breathed. "It’s located in a private data center in Geneva. But Claire... it’s not just holding the clone accounts. It’s holding the unredacted ledgers for The Obsidian Group."

"He linked his digital sabotage directly to his financial clearinghouse," Julian realized, a slow, predatory smile touching his lips.

"Download the entire mainframe," I ordered, a dark, terrifying thrill coursing through my veins. "Silas Thorne wants to destroy my digital ambassador? I am going to use his own servers to sign his death warrant."
