Chapter 9 - The Digital GuillotineI reached into my sapphire clutch, pulled out a sleek, encrypted titanium tablet, and tapped the screen once.

Instantly, the ballroom’s massive, multi-million-dollar digital AV system flickered and died. In its place, the unredacted ledgers from Evelyn's Zurich mainframe exploded onto the screens in towering, crystal-clear detail.
"When you bought my ex-husband's forged lies, Evelyn," I announced to the horrified crowd of global elites, "you thought you were stealing my future. You didn't realize I was using your arrogance as a backdoor into your entire criminal empire."
Evelyn turned around, looking up at the towering screens. The color completely and utterly drained from her face. The untouchable billionaire shattered in a microsecond.
"I found the offshore wire transfers proving you paid Graham to commit perjury," I continued, my voice echoing like a judge delivering an inescapable sentence. "But more importantly, I found the ledgers proving you have been laundering billions for international arms dealers."
The ballroom erupted into chaos. The investors surrounding us instantly turned on Evelyn, their eyes filled with absolute rage.
"You... you fabricated this!" Evelyn shrieked, her refined facade disintegrating into hysterical fury.
"I didn't fabricate anything. I exposed you," I whispered coldly.
The heavy doors burst open. A dozen federal agents from the FBI's Financial Crimes Division marched directly down the aisle.
"Evelyn Sterling!" the lead agent barked, flashing his badge. "You are under international arrest for massive federal wire fraud, money laundering, and high treason!"
Evelyn didn't fight. She was completely paralyzed by the sheer, devastating velocity of her own ruin. As they snapped heavy steel handcuffs around her wrists, she shot one last, terrified look at me.

"You haven't won," she wept as they dragged her away, her empire literally burning beneath her feet.
"I won the moment you thought a mother was a weak target," I replied softly.
