Before Elias could speak again, the heavy suite doors clicked.
The electronic lock flashed green.
I pushed the doors open.
I didn't barge in screaming.
I walked in slowly, my heels completely silent on the thick carpet.
My father followed right behind me, flanked by two private security contractors and a uniformed police officer.
Elias whipped around. The sheer shock on his face was cinematic.
“What the hell is this?” Elias shouted. “Get out of my room! This is trespassing!”
I didn't look at Elias.
I walked straight past him, extending my hand down to Clara.
She looked at me, took a deep breath, and took my hand.
