Dante froze.
The Commission.
The five ruling families of the New York syndicate.
“What flash drive?” he asked, the anger in his eyes shifting to caution.
“The one containing the ledger for the Palermo shipments,” I replied.
“The ones you’ve been skimming from.”
Dante stopped breathing.
“How did you get that?”
“You thought I was just a quiet wife,” I said.
“You thought I spent seven years planning galas and ignoring your secrets.”
I looked at the man who had underestimated me for nearly a decade.
