Chapter 14 - The Checkmate GalaTo completely destroy a monarch, you must behead them on their own throne.

Genevieve Croft did not leak the data. When Elias—acting under my direct, terrifying supervision—told her he had secured the master algorithm, she flew to San Francisco to finalize the acquisition in person.
She was hosting the Global Biotech Summit Gala at the Palace of Fine Arts. It was an ultra-exclusive, closed-door event for international health ministers and European billionaires.
I did not sneak in. I arrived in a black armored Maybach.
I stepped out of the car wearing a backless, sweeping gown of liquid-gold sequins. I looked like armor. I looked like an immortal queen coming to reclaim her stolen territory. Adrian walked beside me in a razor-sharp tuxedo, radiating the lethal, protective energy of a king defending his empire.
The ambient chatter in the grand hall died down instantly as we entered. The sea of billionaires parted.
I spotted her immediately. Genevieve Croft stood near the podium, wearing a stunning silver gown, looking like aristocratic ice. When she saw me, a smug, victorious smile spread across her face. She thought I was walking to the gallows.
"Elara," Genevieve purred, her voice carrying over the silent room. She stepped forward. "I must admit, I didn't expect you to attend. Have you brought the transfer authorizations for the subsidiary?"
"I don't surrender, Genevieve," I said smoothly, stopping three feet away from her. "And I don't negotiate with parasites."
Genevieve’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second. "Arrest her. She is trespassing," she commanded her private security.
Adrian stepped forward, his towering frame instantly intimidating her mercenaries. "I wouldn't do that. The perimeter of this venue is currently surrounded by fifty heavily armed federal agents."
"The FBI has no jurisdiction here, and you have no proof," Genevieve hissed, though a bead of sweat formed on her brow.
I reached into my gold clutch and pulled out a sleek, encrypted tablet. I tapped the screen once and held it up for her to see.
"You see, Genevieve," I smiled, my eyes hardening into chips of diamond. "When Elias uploaded my 'algorithm' to your Geneva servers, it wasn't just a virus. It was a digital mirror. I downloaded your entire dark-web ledger. I have the wire transfers proving you bribed EU health officials. I have the records of the illegal, off-the-books human trials you conducted in Eastern Europe."
Genevieve’s face turned the color of ash. The untouchable billionaire shattered in a microsecond.
"You... you hacked my servers," she choked out.
"I didn't hack them. I exposed them," I whispered, stepping entirely into her personal space. "At 9:00 P.M. tonight, Interpol raided your Geneva headquarters. Your assets are frozen. You are completely, utterly bankrupt."
The heavy oak doors of the gala burst open.
A dozen tactical agents, coordinated by Interpol and the FBI, marched directly through the crowd of horrified elites.
"Genevieve Croft, you are under arrest for international terrorism financing, racketeering, and crimes against humanity," the lead agent barked, hauling the screaming woman to her feet and snapping heavy steel handcuffs onto her wrists.
May you like
"I will destroy you!" Genevieve shrieked, her aristocratic composure completely annihilated.
"You are going to rot in a concrete box," Adrian said softly. "Just like your brother."
