Adrian took my hand, his grip strong and eternal.
"To unbreakable empires," Adrian whispered, a rogue, brilliant smile touching his lips.
"To us," I replied, my heart swelling with profound, unshakeable joy.
He pulled me flush against his chest and kissed me with a fierce, passionate possession that sent a shockwave of electricity straight to my core.
Later that evening, Adrian and I stood on the edge of our wrap-around deck, looking out over the glittering, endless expanse of the starlit vineyards. He wrapped his strong arms around me from behind, resting his hands gently over my waist.
"We won," he murmured, kissing the side of my neck. "The world is entirely yours."
